3 unit(s)
This course examines the use of agentic artificial intelligence in tax, audit, and accounting contexts, focusing on how autonomous AI agents can reason, plan, reflect, and use tools to support professional judgment. Students explore real-world applications such as audit risk assessment, anomaly detection, tax compliance, and forensic analysis, while comparing modern agentic systems with traditional expert systems used in auditing. Through applied labs and a capstone project, the course emphasizes responsible design, explainability, ethics, and governance, preparing students to evaluate and prototype agentic AI solutions in regulated accounting environments.
