LAW - 831 Employment Law 3 unit(s) This course examines the relationship between employers and individual employees. Topics include hiring, wrongful termination, employees’ duty of loyalty, restrictions on post-employment competition, workplace privacy and defamation, and protection against harassment and other abusive conduct in the workplace. The course covers substantive law and examines prevailing assumptions about the employment relationship. While the course covers some discrimination issues, it does not offer in-depth coverage of that area of law.
