TA 380 Tax and Estate Planning Journal

3 unit(s)
The Tax & Estate Planning Journal is an online journal created and maintained jointly by law and tax students at Golden Gate University. Students will be expected to write on tax topics in a variety of media formats: news, events, blog posts, and articles. During the course, each student will write case summaries, blog posts, or an article on a topic of interest to the student. Students will work with the Journal Editor or Faculty Advisor to assist with the development of the topic and writing an article for publication in the Journal and also for submission to a professional journal to be considered for publication. During the course, three seminar sessions will be scheduled that students are required to attend. These seminars will focus on enhancing a student’s research and writing skills, the process for publishing, the role of editing journal submissions, new developments in tax, as well as other topics related to writing and publishing in professional journals.

All students must be in good academic standing and a writing sample may be requested. This course is graded on a Credit/No Credit basis. The course provides an opportunity to enhance your writing skills and build your resume by adding publications to your list of credentials.  Prerequisite(s): TA 318 TA 319 TA 329A , and TA 330 . Cross-listed with and equivalent to the following course. (Note: no academic credit is awarded for retaking equivalent course.): LLM 380.
