Management, Global MM (Online in Chinese)

Program Information


Golden Gate University designed an accelerated graduate program that is dedicated to working professionals residing in China. Using a 7.5-week term format, this program is offered online in Chinese (Mandarin) through our partner, Beacon Education. Note: This program is available only to students who enroll via the Beacon Education platform.

Aligned to GGU’s leadership and service mission, the Global Master of Management (GMM) is an action-based, language accessible, fast-paced 27-unit accelerated program focused on providing tactical and strategic leadership and service skills necessary to navigate the rapidly evolving global management and strategy ecosystem and its issues. Offered in an accelerated delivery MM students take key courses that focus on management issues impacting organizations, leadership, and service. Building on existing GGU MBA, courses, the MM program is designed for global management and marketplace. To be inclusive and accessible to the cross-cultural and inter-cultural marketplace, the curriculum is delivered in online and language accessible format.

GGU Worldwide’s GMM program focuses on a particular area of business management. Unlike our MBA degree, it is a type of master’s degree in business, alongside our MS in Finance, MS in Marketing, and MS in Leadership. The GMM offers some general business courses however the majority of the coursework will concentrate on management.

Student Learning Outcomes

Graduates of this program will have the knowledge and skills to:

  • Demonstrate a specialized management focus.
  • Demonstrate managerial and leadership skills, such as teamwork, critical thinking and problem solving, communications and presentations, self-awareness.
  • Master and apply general management analytic processes and tools for decision making.
  • Integrate strategic management objectives within competitive industry dynamics.
  • Integrate strategic management perspective within the global socio-political-economic-ecological context.
  • Understand functional areas’ impact on business and departmental interaction issues.

Admission Requirements

  • Applicants must hold a bachelor’s or a master’s or equivalent degree.
    • Completion of a 3‐year undergraduate study degree (大专文凭) or equivalent will be accepted, but applicants are required to provide a resume demonstrating at least 3 years of professional work experience.
    • Applicants with an Associate’s degree or equivalent degree are required to provide:
      • Resume
      • Statement of purpose reviewed or an interview conducted by Beacon Education.
        • The statement of purpose or interview must state the following:
          • At least 5 years of professional work experience related to the field of study.
          • How the GGU degree will help them in their professional career.
        • The statement of purpose or interview report is used by GGU Faculty Director/Dean in making an admission decision.
  • 2.5 GPA or higher in their most recent degree program for full admission.
    • If below 2.5 GPA, applicants are required to provide:
      • Resume
      • Statement of purpose reviewed or an interview conducted by Beacon Education.
        • The statement of purpose or interview must state the following:
          • At least 3 years of professional work experience after school.
          • How the GGU degree will help them in their professional career.
        • The statement of purpose or interview report is used by GGU Faculty Director/Dean in making an admission decision.

Requirements for the Global Master of Management


The degree program requires completion of a total of 27 units. Students must earn a grade of “C-” or better in each course and cumulative grade-point average of 3.00 or better.
