COMM 51 Media & Information Literacy 3 unit(s) As the landscape of education shifts in response to emerging and developing technologies, particularly artificial intelligence technologies, the skills of media and information literacy have become foundationally critical skills-academically and professionally. In this course, students will develop the professionally transferable skills of recognizing, analyzing, and creating different media forms, including writing, oral communication, video- and image-based media, and new media such as artificial intelligence and social media. The class focuses on the skills of information literacy, communication, and media literacy.
