MSBA 305 Business Intelligence and Decision Support

This course provides comprehensive coverage of the design, architecture, and implementation of modern Business Intelligence (BI) systems in an enterprise environment, with a focus on how BI integrates with emerging AI-driven analytics. Topics include data integration and pipeline development (including ETL/ELT processes), data warehousing and lakehouse architectures, OLAP, and large-scale data environments. The course also examines how BI platforms support advanced analytics, including machine learning-enabled insights, data mining, and AI-assisted data visualization.

Hands-on exercises strengthen students’ ability to use contemporary BI and analytics tools and modern AI-assisted analytics platforms to develop descriptive, predictive, and prescriptive insights.
