LAW - 706F Lawyering: Ecommerce and Product Counseling 2 unit(s) This course will focus on legal and policy considerations related to e-commerce and consumer protection, and will allow students to develop practical lawyering skills from an in-house counsel perspective. With financial services as a use case, this course will cover topics such as FTC and CFPB guidance, UDAAP risks, privacy considerations, consumer consent, transmission of payments and best practices for mobile app user interfaces. We will also analyze novel e-commerce questions applicable to all industries, including biometric authentication. Students will have an opportunity to practice fundamental skills, including product counseling, problem solving and drafting terms of use and privacy policies.
